Shipping & Delivery Policy
We bake, freeze and ship all Magpye orders from our Northumberland kitchen. This page explains where we deliver, how much it costs and what to expect on delivery day.
1. Where we deliver
We currently deliver to:
-
Mainland UK
-
Selected UK offshore locations
Some postcodes may carry a surcharge or may not be serviceable for frozen delivery. Any restrictions or extra charges will be shown at checkout before you pay.
2. Order minimum and delivery rates
-
Order minimum: £27
-
Standard delivery: shown at checkout (typically £6.95 for most areas)
-
Free delivery: orders of £55 or more after discounts qualify for free delivery
All prices and thresholds are shown clearly at checkout and may change from time to time.
3. Dispatch times
We bake and pack to order so that your pies arrive in top condition.
-
Orders are usually dispatched within 2-4 working days.
-
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order has left our kitchen
-
Very busy periods or promotional events may extend dispatch times slightly, but we will always communicate clearly on the website if that happens
If you need pies for a specific date, we recommend ordering early to allow for courier delays outside our control.
4. Delivery method and frozen packaging
-
Orders are shipped with a next day courier in insulated packaging with ice packs to keep everything frozen in transit
-
Parcels are normally delivered on the next working day after dispatch to most UK mainland postcodes
-
Please place your pies straight into the freezer on arrival and follow the storage and cooking instructions on pack
If your order ever arrives warm or obviously defrosted, please refer to our Refund & Return Policy and contact us within 24 hours.
5. Being at home and safe place deliveries
Our pies are perishable, so it is important that someone is available to receive the delivery.
By placing an order you agree that:
-
You will provide an accurate delivery address and any helpful instructions for the driver
-
If you are not home, the courier may leave the parcel at your address or in a safe place, or with a neighbour if this is part of their standard service
Once the courier has delivered to the address or safe place you have provided, the parcel is considered delivered and the responsibility for the goods passes to you. Magpye cannot accept liability for loss, theft or deterioration of the goods after a successful delivery.
6. Missed deliveries and redelivery
If the courier attempts delivery and is unable to complete it because:
-
the address is incorrect or incomplete, or
-
no one is available and there is no suitable safe place
then frozen food safety rules may prevent a second attempt using the same parcel. In these cases we are usually unable to resend or refund the order, so please double check your address details carefully at checkout.
If you believe the courier has made an error, or tracking shows delivery to the wrong location, please contact us and we will investigate.
7. Delivery delays and events outside our control
Occasionally deliveries are delayed for reasons outside our control, such as severe weather, road closures or courier network issues. When this happens we will:
-
Monitor the situation with the courier
-
Keep you informed where possible
-
Offer replacements or refunds if the parcel arrives late and no longer frozen and the delay was not due to incorrect delivery details or missed delivery
8. Address changes
If you realise you have entered the wrong address, please email info@magpye.co.uk with your order number as soon as possible.
-
Address changes are only possible before your order has been picked and dispatched
-
Once the parcel is with the courier, we cannot guarantee any changes and cannot accept liability for non delivery to an incorrect address
9. Questions
