Magpye began our plant powered pie journey serving luxurious pie, mash and mushy peas on the banks of the River Tyne from our converted horsebox.   

Magpye was soon delivering our delicious range of pies directly to the homes of people in the North East, quickly growing the delivery area to cover the entire UK and supplying shops, bars and cafes with the best vegan pies!

We make all of our pastry and fillings from scratch in our vegan pie kitchen, taking  inspiration  from traditional techniques and  recipes.

Magpyes unique shortcrust pastry is made with highest quality plant based ‘butter’ and all Magpye products are free of any palm oil.  

We use only 100% vegan ingredients and all of our flour is organic and milled in the UK.  We source many of our other ingredients and products from co-operative, ethical suppliers.

Our pie boxes are made from recyclable kraft paper and biodegradable plant based film. Our shipping boxes are insulated with 100% paper insulation, bio-degradable bubble wrap and we even use paper packing tape.  Our non-toxic ice gel packs can be emptied and the wrapping recycled.
