Hello. We’re the founders: Chris and Sarah. We’ve been meat-free for over 60 years combined and have been making plant powered pies since 2019. We had careers in other places but the pandemic and our passion for planet friendly pie-making got the better of us…

The Magpye journey so far…

BEGINNINGS ON THE BANKS OF THE TYNE

We started off at home but encouraged by great feedback from our amazing customers we got ourselves a trailer and popped up at events, markets and street food venues in the North East. Memories of selling pie and mash under the iconic Tyne Bridge on Newcastle’s Quayside still bring a smile and goosebumps – that cold January air had some bite!

LIGHTS, CAMERA, PIES!

We then moved into our first teeny but very well equipped premises, got a little advertising help (remember the Go Daddy Ad?) and started selling pies on our then shiny, new website, as well as through multiple food outlets. Huge thanks to those of you that have supported us by buying pies, whether one or hundreds; we really appreciate every sale and we could not do any of this without you.

MATCH DAY PIES FOR WORLDS GREENEST FOOTBALL CLUB

Fast forward to today and we’re proud to be supplying Plant Powered Pies to the greenest football club in the UK, possibly the world: Forest Green Rovers FC. And hoping to appear in a shop near you soon, not to mention more outdoor foodie places and spaces; we’re looking at you football, rugby and cricket clubs!
