Welcome to Magpye, a small-batch, plant-based pie bakery nestled along the historic Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland. Founded by us, Chris and Sarah, Magpye was born from our love of pastry and our commitment to sustainability. Our mission? To reinvent the classic British pie with a modern, plant-based twist that’s as kind to the planet as it is to your taste buds.
Each pie is handmade using a blend of traditional techniques and a pinch of innovation. From mixing to rolling and crimping, we put care into every step. Our palm oil-free shortcrust pastry is made with regeneratively farmed UK organic flour, and our small-batch fillings are crafted with top-quality vegan ingredients, ensuring every bite is packed with flavour.
Sustainability is baked into everything we do. We designed our brand and packaging with simplicity and eco-consciousness in mind, reflecting our values inside and out. Our UK-sourced packaging is recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable—leaving nothing behind but satisfied appetites.

Banks of Tyne Beginnings
Starting from our kitchen, inspired by glowing customer feedback, we expanded to a trailer at events and markets across the North East. Fond memories of serving pie and mash by Newcastle’s Tyne Bridge, despite the January cold, highlight our unwavering pie passion!

Lights, Camera, Pies!
Moving to our first equipped production kitchen, boosted by memorable ads (hello, Go Daddy!), we launched our website for direct sales and expanded into food outlets. Huge thanks to everyone who’s bought our pies – your support means the world to us!

Now, we’re proud to supply our Plant Powered Pies directly to your door, and we’re thrilled to be the pie provider for the eco-friendly Forest Green Rovers FC. But our journey doesn’t stop there.
