What’s different about Magpye pies?
Unlike supermarket pies, we handcraft ours in small batches using our own traditionally made palm oil-free pastry and rich, flavourful fillings. No mass production—just great food made with care.
Are your pies suitable for home freezing?
Yes! We freshly bake your pies, then blast freeze them to ensure maximum freshness. They arrive ready to pop straight into your home freezer. You can then reheat them straight from frozen perfectly. Full cooking instructions are provided on each pie box.
Is everything vegan?
Absolutely! Every Magpye product is 100% plant-based, made with premium ingredients, and completely free from palm oil.
Do Magpye pies contain ultra-processed ingredients (UPF)?
At Magpye, we prioritise wholesome, plant-based ingredients to craft our pies. Our fillings are made from real vegetables, legumes, and carefully selected plant proteins, all enveloped in our signature shortcrust pastry, which is handmade using organic UK-grown flour and a palm oil-free vegan butter alternative.
While some of our plant-based proteins undergo processing to achieve the desired texture and flavour, we ensure that none of our products contain artificial additives, GMO, preservatives, or unnecessary fillers. Our focus is on delivering delicious, satisfying meals that are as close to homemade as possible.
For a detailed list of ingredients, please visit our shop page.
Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
Yes! Our pies are individually boxed in fully compostable boxes made from kraft paper and bio film.
Our frozen postal boxes use paper insulation, paper tape, and re-usable ice packs. We partner with an eco-friendly courier company (DPD) to ensure the carbon footprint is kept to a minimum.
Are pies suitable for allergen sufferers?
Our pies are created in a vegan kitchen which handles nuts, soy, mustard, sulphites, celery and gluten. While every possible effort is made, we can not guarantee the absence of any allergens. The main allergens in each pie are highlighted on each product page and a full list of ingredients is also printed on the box of each pie.
Are any of your products Gluten Free?
Unfortunately we are unable to make any of our products gluten free, one day we hope to be able to have a separate production area to enable us to do this.
How big are your pies?
All of our pies are designed as individual servings and weigh approximately 210g.
What is the shelf life of your pies?
Pies can be stored in your freezer for up to 6 months.
Do you cater for events?
